Did you know that before there was Charlie and his Chocolate Factory Roald Dahl was a pilot for the Royal Air Force? I didn’t know that either! And did we also not know that he suffered a terrible plane crash and upon recovery from a head injury sustained in the crash began writing in earnest some of the most beloved children’s stories of all time. He said (basically), ‘the head injury made me a writer.’ No way! It makes this cool vintage copy of Back to You even more interesting because it contains ten stories of flyers and flying. It’s in great shape, small, thin volume, found in the UK (of course), and a bit of a rare one.
